Thank you for your purchase from Sustainable Maggi. We believe that all things grow with love and care, please follow these simple instructions, and your plant will shower you with an abundance of gratitude, flavors and aroma.
Plants are like people; when they get uprooted and placed somewhere new, they take a minute to adjust. If your plant seems to wilt a little at first, don't be surprised, it's just adjusting to its' new environment.
When you first receive your plant, water it thoroughly and place it in indirect sunlight for at least 24 hours. After the 24 hours, place them either indoor or outdoor, whichever you think is best. Herbs can receive either indirect or direct sunlight. If you choose to keep your herbs indoors, water when the top of the soil starts to feel dry. You can also add a water soluble fertilizer to the water once a month. If you keep your herbs outdoors, water daily, preferable early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Outdoor plants do best NOT watered with the mid-day sun. Always make sure the soil is moist. Remember, plants eat from the roots like people eat from their mouths. If you don't drink water you dehydrate and wilt, plants do to. Feel free to trim off the top and use the herbs for cooking, garnishing, boiling or drying and adding into your tea. The more you trim the healthier it grows. Please be sure to carefully and thoroughly wash all leaves and dry them prior to consumption. If you feel you might have an allergy, do not eat it. If you have an allergic reaction, be sure to call 911 immediately. As your plant grows, you may want to repot into a bigger pot so that it may continue to grow. When repotting, be sure to not make the pot to large. It is like buying your children shoes either one size or 2 sizes too big. One size up, is best. With time you will see each plant develop and take on its' own distinctive personality. You will see its' likes and dislikes, you will learn which prefers the sunlight, which drinks more water, which grows faster, which responds to trimmings. Plants are a living and necessary part of this earth. They are a gift that keeps on giving.
